US plans 'robot troops' for Iraq

Think Short Circuit with an M240 machine gun and a bunch of camaras.

This new robot, which is a modification of the Talon bomb removal robot, runs about 200,000$ and can save lives. I know this could be considered a rather ominus sign, but the gameboy style controller and Virtual reality goggles they're planning on installing makes the gadget geek in me a bit giddy.

Another good side to this gadget titled SWORDS (Special Weapons Observation Reconniassance Detection Systems) is believed to eliminate the majority of "shooting errors" you get. Some of those deal with the inaccuracy of the human form to shoot straight and the other would allow people to get a better look at what's really around the corner so civilians are less frequently shot at. I hope they put it out soon.
